Chamomile Flowers (Matricaria recutita)

Chamomile is one of the most beloved and well-known herbs for anxiety, sleep, and stress-related conditions. When dealing with that person or thing that continually bothers you, follow the lead of ancient Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans and enjoy a cup of chamomile tea.

 

Lavender Flowers (Lavandula angustifolia)

The soft floral scent of lavender is unmistakable. It is used in hospitals because its aroma is scientifically proven to decrease stress. These beautiful flowers, which range from purple and blue to slightly grey, are known for alleviating restlessness, insomnia, and depression.

 

Stevia Leaves (Stevia rebaudiana)

Native to South America and used by the Guarani Indians for centuries, stevia is also known as candy leaf, honey leaf, and sweet leaf. It is 200-300 times sweeter than sugar, without the calories of refined sugar. It does not activate an insulin response, making it preferred by people with diabetes. Stevia is among nature's sweetest gifts.

Peppermint Leaves (Mentha × piperita)

Peppermint is a hybrid plant that's a cross between spearmint and watermint. It's a powerful, tasty ally to other nerve-soothing herbs because it nourishes the nervous system. Also, peppermint has a significant amount of calcium, magnesium, and potassium.

 

Rose Petals (Rosa damascena)

One of the most beautiful symbols of love, rose petals are a tonic for the heart. It is a mild antidepressant that uplifts emotions. Herbalists use it often for grief and heartbreak. Beyond the decadence of seeing rose petals and the sensory experience of its floral notes, roses are added to this blend to encourage self-love, the essence of peace.

 

Orange Peel (Citrus sinensis) 

In addition to its refreshing taste and Vitamin C, orange peels can lower levels of stress hormones. It also helps our bodies make collagen (a protein that heals wounds), so it more readily absorbs iron and boosts the immune system.

Shake the package well before each use. 

  • Use one teaspoon of herbs for every eight ounces of water.

  • Add herbs to a pot and pour cold water over them.

  • Bring mixture to a gentle boil.

  • Lower the temperature and simmer for 20-30 minutes. 

  • Remove from heat and cool to drinking temperature.

  • Strain and enjoy.

You can use up to 3 teaspoons of herbs for every eight ounces of water to make a stronger tea. 

For optimum flavor, use distilled or spring water.

Servings:

  • Ages 2-4: One teaspoon of tea

  • Ages 5-7: One teaspoon of tea

  • Ages 8-11: Two teaspoons of tea

  • Ages 11+: One cup of tea

Enjoy up to four servings every 24 hours.

Loose-leaf herbs can be reused the same day. The flavor profile will change, but many prefer their second or third brew! You can add more herbs to each additional cup to increase its impact.

Herbal teas can be refrigerated and stored in airtight containers for 48 hours.

Store herbs in airtight containers in a cool, dark place.

Enjoy 1-2 cups daily for at least three days to achieve full benefits.

This blend is best when used within 1-2 years of opening. After a year, let your nose and eyes be your guide. Over time, more herbs are needed to have the same effect.
