Herb Benefits
Rosehips (Rosa canina and Rosa rubiginosa)
Rosehips are the round portion of the rose flower just below the petals. They contain seeds incredibly high in vitamin C. Rosehips reduce inflammation and pain while supporting heart health.
Calendula Flowers (Calendula officinalis)
Known in medieval Europe as the "poor man's saffron," calendula - also known as marigolds) - brighten any garden landscape. With their unique immune-stimulating properties, calendula is the friend that can also detoxify swollen lymph nodes and provide mild liver support. Topically, it helps heal rashes, wounds, abrasions, eczema, and cold sores.
Orange Peel / Wild Orange Essential Oil (Citrus sinensis)
In addition to its refreshing taste and high vitamin C content, orange peel can lower levels of stress hormones. It also helps our bodies make collagen (a protein that heals wounds), which makes it more readily absorb iron and boosts the immune system.
Lavender Flowers (Lavandula angustifolia)
Lavender flowers and essential oils are calming and great for muscle spasms, gas, colic, nausea, vomiting, and neuralgia.
Hibiscus Flowers (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis)
Affectionately known as "China rose" and the "Queen of the Tropics," hibiscus is refreshingly soothing, tangy, and slightly sweet. According to the USDA Nutrient Database, it contains essential minerals, including calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, and zinc. It also contains B vitamins, such as niacin and folic acid.
Cinnamon Bark (Cinnamomum verum)
Cinnamon is lovely at relaxing and soothing muscles. It is known for lowering blood pressure and suppressing coughs while having anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and antiviral properties.
Rose Petals (Rosa spp.)
Rose petals add a touch of elegance and an expression of love to this tea. Roses support heart health and help alleviate stress and anxiety. Herbalists often use it to assist with grief and heartbreak.
